(2017 - 2020) Artist to Activist - UNGUNUS project

The Las Vegas music festival mass shooting mobilized me to swap the time spent in the street creating "collaborations" to bring attention to gun violence through a project I titled UNGUNUS. I focused on my neighborhood - Hollywood. The most famous neighborhood in the world is the best place to draw awareness. By sourcing online information of gun homicide locations, I promised my sponsors I would install memorial medallions on the public sidewalks in the proximity to where the gun homicide was committed. There were different tiers of sponsor participation - "Supporter", "Protestor" and "Activist". Depending on the level of donation, sponsors received an UNGUNUS printed certificate, patches, stickers, color images of the installation, an MDF replica or a metal replica of the installed medallion.
