BASE: rusty water valve ✦ PERCH: desert plant ✦ BODY: tropical stuffed macaw ✦ LIPS: plush red flower ✦ CLAWS: pewter ✦ HORN: long, like a lazy king's beard ✦ HEART: a caged lion in a green-patina cage
Materials: pewter, textile, dried chicken feet, thread and a plastic brush.
The rusty water valve (found in Hollywood) at the base of a desert plant (found in Red Rock Canyon State Park, CA) holds a tropical stuffed macaw. The colorful bird resembles a plush red flower and sports a scarlet plastic flower as puckered, luscious lips. Slumped on its perch, its pewter claws grown too long from no use, its horn too long, greying like a lazy king's beard; its heart a caged lion in patinated aged cage.
